Flinders – Mawson Trail Tour

5 Day Tour

Endurance Rating – Moderate

(The historic township of Burra can be included in this tour if required)

Day 1: Beginning at Melrose an introduction ride around the historic town then camping at the caravan park at the base of Mt. Remarkable

.

Day 2: Melrose to Wirrabara 32km camping at Ippanichi camp site, or bunk in at the YHA or Old School House.

Day 3: Wirrabara to Bundaleer 70km with the first 25km single trails and mostly down hill, then rolling hills open farmland, and pine forest. Camping at the historic Curno’s Hut Bundalee.

Day 4: Load up and head for Clare to ride the Riesling Trail 27km at end of ride load up again head for Thomas Hill Study Centre where we will camp / bunk.

Day 5: Thomas Hill to Adelaide 25km, or back to your school if possible. There are great views as you come out of the hills and make your decent into Adelaide.

Central Hills Tour

Day 1: Mount Crawford to Bush Land Park, Lobethal, 25km camp facilities available or accommodation.

Day 2: Bush Land Park to Thomas Hill plus cross country mountain bike track approximately 25km, camping or bunking at Thomas Hill.

Day 3: Thomas Hill to Adelaide 25Km or back to your school if possible.

Adelaide Hills Tour

Day 1: Meadows to Jacks Paddock approximately 25km through back roads and forest trails in the Adelaide Hills camping at Jack's Paddock.

Day 2: Jack's Paddock to Rocky Creek hut approximately 30km, atop the Mt. Lofty ranges with views across the McLaren Vale vineyards and through to the ocean, camping at Rocky Creek hut.

Day 3: Rocky Creek hut to Meadows approximately 18km and finishing at the Meadows bakery.
